A niece of mine got married last Saturday. We decided to make a quilt for her and her husband. In three week-ends, we gathered Nine Patch blocs from many wedding guests, we cut the blocs according to the Disappearing Nine Patch technique, sewed all the blocs, basted and quilted the quilt. A record!
The gift was greatly appreciated!
Une de mes nièces s'est mariée samedi passé. Nous avons décidé de faire un quilt pour elle et son mari. En trois week-ends nous avons récolté des blocks d'une bonne partie des invités au mariage, avons coupé les blocs selon la méthode du Nine Patch Disparu, avons faufilé et matelassé le quilt. That's a beautiful idea! Most people here in Australia have little or no interest in sewing, such a project may not work. Wonderfully useful keepsake for the new couple.
