Fabrics again... / Encore des tissus...
These are the colors and fabrics of my next quilt. I'm trying to enter a contest with it, but doubt I'll make it in time. Will tell you more about it!

Grandma / Grand-mère
I happened to become a grandma a few months ago. An absolute happiness, and focus shifting a bit. It's why I used my fabrics for different purposes these last few days: a "doudou" and a little shirt!
Tout fini par arriver! Je suis grand-mère depuis quelques mois. Un bonheur absolu, et des intérets qui changent un peu. C'est pourquoi j'ai utilisé mes tissus à d'autres fins ces derniers jours: Un doudou et une petite chemise!

Briançon
I'm almost (and there's still a lot to do in this almost!) ready to leave for Briançon, France, for the Festival de Patchwork. Briançon is one of the highest cities in France, at more than 1300m in altitude. I better take a warm coat, it may snow!! I can't wait to see the Vauban fortress.
The Festival is not a big one, with ten exhibit, but I really look forward to it. If you don't do any thing next week, why not come and visit? Be aware that it ends on Saturday May 11.
Je suis presque (et il y en a encore des choses à faire dans ce presque!) prête à partir pour Briançon, pour le Festival de Pachwork. Briançon est une des plus hautes villes de France, avec une altitude de plus de 1300m. Je vais prendre une bonne veste, il pourrait neiger!! Je suis impatiente d'admirer la forteresse Vauban.
Le Festival n'est pas très grand, avec 10 expositions, mais je me réjouis vraiment d'y aller. Si vous ne faites rien de spécial la semaine prochaine, pourquoi ne viendrez-vous pas faire une visite? Attention, le festival se termine le samedi 11 mai.

China Mosaics
Last Friday, I posted the last of my China Mosaics. You can see them all here.
I will make some more mosaics in the future, if I'm lucky again to make another incredible trip somewhere in the world!

Risky work! / Travail risqué!
I'm now working on the last quilt I'll finish for my personal exhibit at Festival de Patchwork, Briançon, France. I'm sewing two layers from the back:
Je suis en train de travailler sur le dernier quilt que je terminerai pour mon exposition personnelle au Festival de Patchwork à Briançon, France. Je couds deux couches depuis l'arrière:
When the sewing is finished, I turn the quilt over and start to cut holes to show the under layer. I need to be really relaxed to do that! Risky!
Quand la couture est terminée, je retourne le quilt et je commence à découper des trous, pour révéler la couche inférieure. Je dois vraiment être détendue pour faire ça! Risqué!
This quilt started here and here! It will hang on the side of this quilt.
