A trick / Un truc



When you make HST square (Half Square Triangles) you mark the diagonal, and you sew on each side of the line, at presser foot width. 

Quand vous faites des  carrés HST (voir ci-dessus, des demi carrés en triangles), vous marquez la diagonale et vous cousez de chaque côté de la ligne à la largeur du pied de biche.

What's fun (and practical) to do, is to cut a small square at both ends of the diagonal.

Ce qui est amusant (et pratique) à faire, c'est de couper un petit carré à chaque extrémité de la diagonale.

Then you cut on the line and you have your two blocks. No more cutting necessary!
I keep all the tiny squares, and I'll show you one day what I make with them!

Ensuite vous coupez sur la ligne et vous avez vos deux blocs. Plus rien à couper!
Je garde tous les minuscules carrés et je vous montrerai une fois ce que je fais avec!

  3. This is how I make my HSTs too, but I haven't tried that trimming trick, that could save hooha later! I will try it! Can't wait to see how you sue those teeny tiny squares!?!
